A Hike to Cecret Lake

We went on an awesome hike on Sunday afternoon to Cecret Lake, about 20 minutes drive up the canyon. It was one of the most beautiful hikes I have ever done. There was still some snow in the shade of the trail, which Jamin enjoyed jumping in and making snow balls with. Then alongside the trail there were wildflowers blooming in the sun. It was an amazing display of God's handiwork.

There was a fair drive in terms of elevation to get there and then the actual hike was about .75 mile one way and had an elevation of 420ft.

Jamin was at his limit in terms of keeping up but had a great time running and climbing and jumping. He was pretty tired that night!

Me doing a touch of rock climbing spotting.

Danny spent a bit of the hike carrying both boys!
He said that they balanced each other out.

The lake at the top of the hike.
A breathtaking view!

  4. Looks like an awesome place to be walking through. The picture of Danny with two boys reminds me of the days of Lach in a pack on my back and Alex in a pouch on the front!!! He's right they seem to balance out.
