I have been away from the blog for a few days. It has been a busy weekend in our house with a birthday party, Linda staying & Jamin's actual birthday today. I am having trouble believing that I now have a 3 year old. He certainly is growing & changing everyday. He often both amazes & amuses us with the many questions & observations that he makes... I wondered out loud yesterday whether 3 was a particularly amusing age or whether it just keeps on coming from here? Anyone with older kids want to enlighten me?
My very talented sister has been kept busy with her camera so I am going to use her photo documentary of the weekend to show you what we have been up to. It really is quite nice to have a photographer in residence. Maybe that should be a new side business for her - food & board in exchange for some amazing lifestyle photos...
Jamin's Party on Saturday morning. It was all things Jamin loves - Dorothy the Dinosaur, strawberries, bubbles, lots of balloons and cake!

Linda & I are a great cake making team. This year Jamin requested a Dorothy cake & we decided to stay within our capabilities & just do her face rather than a 3D version like last years train. Jamin was very happy with our effort and being sung Happy Birthday by all of his friends.

A month or so ago Jamin asked to have balloons coming down from the ceiling for his birthday. So Danny's job on Saturday morning was to blow up 30 or so balloons then figure out a way to rig them to come down from the ceiling. He did a great job & the kids were pretty excited!
The Dorothy tail that Aunty Linda brought all the way from Australia.

This weekend we took it easy (read: recovered from the party) & showed Linda around Salt Lake City. We have lots more planned for the week ahead if Linda has recovered from her big week in New York City.
A special sister's Tea & Cheesecake afternoon tea.

Kael playing peek-a-boo at the back door.
He really is super-cute at 10 & a bit months!

Will post more photos tomorrow. Hope you have a wonderful day!
Great photos Al/Linda. They show us his party really well - since we were thinking about it all day over here! Kael's peekaboo is gorgeous.
