:: a sunday drive to mirror lake ::

Today we made the most of the beautiful weather & took a drive to Mirror Lake. The fall (or autumn) colours are starting to set in with the trees changing from green to a bright yellow. We made our way up Big Cottonwood Canyon & over the mountain, onto Park City then through Kamas to Mirror Lake. It was a stunning drive on the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway.

Jamin was very excited to see so many trees in his favourite colour - yellow!

You can see some of the trees are already orange & red. I think we will do the drive again in a few weeks to see how much the colours have changed. So beautiful!

We took our bikes & the chariot & rode around Mirror Lake. It was mostly good terrain with only a few spots where we had to lift the chariot. Lucky I have a husband with some cross country riding experience.

Due to another very long night up with the boys we had no energy to pack a lunch for ourselves. After snacking all morning we ended up having a late lunch at a great little diner called Yolk on Main. It felt like a very American experience & the waitress spent a lot of time playing with the boys - I wasn't sure if it was because she liked kids or thought it might get her a bigger tip. Either way it was good for us!
