+ an afternoon at the museum +

Early last week I found a great deal for tickets to Discovery Gateway, our local kid's museum. It's a six month pass, which should be a great winter retreat when we get too cooped up at home.

We decided to make the trip down town on Friday afternoon to check things out. Jamin ran around the place like a maniac the entire time we were there & had a grand meltdown at the mention of it being time to go. So I guess that's a good sign that he likes it...?

Here are some of the pictures...

The do-it-youself Gas Station

Family in the jeep, all fueled up & ready to go!
Note the 2 steering wheels. Clever.

A fully outfitted 'kid-sized' house.
This was the kitchen/dining. There is also a lounge, veranda & entry way.

Collect the eggs from the hen-house.
The chooks make a funny bock bock noise when you lift them up.

The farm ute.
All the produce is picked from the garden just behind this picture.

Riding the horse in the stables.
Giddyup!

The grocery shop.
So much fun!

Water-play area complete with aprons to keep their clothes dry.
They really have thought of everything!

There are lots of other areas that we didn't get around to playing in or photographing so stay tuned for our next visit.
