:: a beautiful fall day ::

Yesterday we had a very big day going for a drive, hike & a swim amidst the overwhelmingly beautiful colours of fall. We visited Fifth Water Outdoor Springs which are in the Diamond Fork Canyon, about an hour out of Salt Lake City. We were joined by some other Aussie friends who are here to work with RME as well.

The hike was long (about an hours walking but longer with little legs) but not too difficult. We made our way slowly, with lots of stops for food, water, sticks, rocks, snakes & cows but it wasn't hard to enjoy a slower walk amidst the scenery.

The colours of the trees are almost indescribable... they were so vivid & there were so many different shades. Amazing.

We finally got to the thermal pools way up in the canyon & they were very hot! We all had a great time soaking our sore feet but it also felt a little odd, like really hot bath water. The temperature depended upon where you sat in the water flow & the pools varied in temperature as well. We plan to try and make our way back up in the winter, probably with snow shoes, to really make the most of the thermal springs. Now that would be amazing!
